New ‘wicked walkthrough’ of optical illusions comes to Vancouver

A Halloween maze full of mind-bending optical illusions is what’s to become of Vancouver’s Beaumont Studios venue this October.Participants will venture through 10,000 square feet of winding hallways, rooms, and an outdoor courtyard transformed by hundreds of lasers and soundscapes, crafted by dozens of Vancouver artists and two production companies.

An immersive, interactive Halloween walk is coming to Vancouver

“Shattered at The Beaumont: A Wicked Walkthrough Experience” takes place at The Beaumont from October 8 to 31, 2020. The event is described as a “hair-raising, Halloween-themed, physically distanced walkthrough.”
In order to create the experience, The Beaumont partnered with Go2 Productions, Innovation Lighting, and dozens of Vancouver-based artists.

Burrard Arts Foundation is partnering up with the Vancouver Art Gallery for the Facade Festival, an outdoor public art and cultural event featuring commissioned works by contemporary artists. Every evening from September 8 to 14, the gallery’s exterior facade will be covered with a projection of dynamic artwork.

TED 2019: 20 Ideas on Engaging Attendees On and Off the Main Stage

The conference brought the theme of “Bigger Than Us,” to life with tech-infused experiences, local artwork, and activations. Go2 consulted on the Dupot activation: “DuPont’s dome served as a space for attendees to meditate and relax, while participating in a 4-D, virtual-reality guided meditation.”

Go2’s Ground Breaking Reveal

Weber Metals, a member of the Otto Fuchs Aerospace Group, recently designed a 60,000-ton hydraulic press, the largest pulldown press in the world. They came to Go2 looking for a unique solution for their inauguration event.

Somewhere Spectacular

Hitting the LED Target for the Target Brand

For Major League Soccer season (MLS2017), Go2 Productions was asked to create a soccer-based experience that would attract a crowd both throughout the daytime and also retain interest throughout the evening. The solution turned out to be an innovative use of LED tiles for an interactive soccer experience during the day with a projection mapping component to amp up the experience at night.

Creating a Mirage at Metropolis

The ‘Mirage At Metropolis’ was a project developed in 2016 for British Columbia’s largest shopping mall, Metropolis at Metrotown. The four-storey complex hosted a 360-degree audiovisual (AV) immersive experience in its main atrium, combining colourful, animated digital projection-mapped content with a mirrored floor and ceiling.

Go2 Brings Contradistinction to Façade Festival 2017

For seven nights from September 4-10, the third edition of Façade Festival, an annual public art initiative and projection mapping festival in Vancouver, featured the work of ten artists, witnessed by over 35,000 attendees. Go2 Productions was the technical provider, who tested all the artwork on their in-house 8′ 3D model of the iconic Vancouver Art Gallery. They also contributed the festival’s finale, titled “Contradistinction.”

When pioneering West Coast avant-gardiste Eric Metcalfe – aka Doctor Brute – covered the façade of the old Vancouver Art Gallery with leopard spots in 1973, they were designed freehand and painted in over five nights.
