The ILEA Live committee came to us looking for a creative and unique solution for the opener video and content for their 2016 Esprit Gala.
The theme of the event was ‘Alice through the looking glass’ with a Dali-inspired feel.
We decided to take the audience through a slow, guided journey traveling down the rabbit hole. We created various mystical environments and integrated similar details from the original movie.
We created a series of ‘Alice themed’ images, from mazes and clocks to forest elements and color-treated them to work seamlessly together with the theme and layered 2D and 3D objects into the imagery to help bring the footage to life.
From there, we animated fluid camera movement to give the audience the effect traveling through each of the environments. The right choice of music played a big part in creating an engaging animation, with an impactful crescendo to get the Gala audience excited for the show.
The award show opener was commented on by many attendees as being ‘truly cinematic’ and represented the theme perfectly.
Every year, Business in Vancouver highlights the achievements of BC’s young entrepreneurs, executives and professionals by finding 40 outstanding professionals worthy of the Forty under 40 distinction. The winners are honored at a special awards gala, and Go2 was thrilled to produce the opening sequence for the event, along with supporting elements.
Having worked with BIV for several years now, we knew that we would need to create a high-energy opener to get attendees excited for the event… and we did just that!
Each award show that BIV hosts has a very defined opening experience and content flow. Having produced a large number of openers for events for over a decade, our team of specialists knows exactly how to produce videos that capture the theme of your event perfectly.
For BIV, we produced content for the main screen and had two side screens as well, with supporting elements to make sure the event was branded through and through. Contact us tody to find out how we can help you make your next event/conference/awards show unforgettable.
By adding a modular customizable projection mapping set element to the annual BIV events, we took it from being great… to unforgettable.
Each award show that BIV now does has a very defined opening experience and content flow that uses the modular set piece in different ways. This really adds to the award show experience, making guests feel like they are attending something special.
We produce opening content for the stage set and also produce quality on-screen content for the two side screens as well, to ensure each evening has a consistent award show look and feel.
The challenge was to come up with a solution that could be reusable in different sized ballrooms and event spaces. The modular set was the perfect solution as we could template the content for each event.

NTT Data approached Go2 Productions to produce a content package for their 2019 conference in Whistler, BC. The “New Tomorrow Together Summit” is an annual, invitation-only, immersive event experience designed to showcase business and technology trends that are disrupting, changing and shaping the world.
Go2 was asked to produce an impactful show opener that would inform and excite the attendees. Additionally, our team of artists determined the overall style and design for the full conference content package, which included session openers, title animations, backgrounds, logo animations and more.
Our team worked diligently to determine a workflow that would allow us to incorporate various formats of the company’s 3D assets. The story was created from the inspiration and meaning behind each session topic from the conference. The screen size was a massive 80 feet wide x 13 feet high, had a resolution of 6626 X 1080 pixels, and we utilized four 18K lumen projectors.
Go2 worked closely with Freeman AV who was overseeing the Watchout media server for the conference to ensure that all 30 individual deliverables were programmed and quality checked for each conference day. The final creative provided a dynamic show aspect to the educational presentations taking place at the summit.
THE BIG IDEA - TV shorts
Having outgrown their current campus on Granville Island, they initiated a Capital Campaign to engage the support of their broader community in helping them build a new campus at Great Northern Way in Vancouver, British Columbia.
With a $25,000,000 goal to reach, we needed to create something that Vancouverites could relate to.
The challenge was to create a series of fun and engaging short animations, designed to be played with and without audio, primarily for transit and elevator broadcast. Reaching their downtown Vancouver demographic in quick and frequent bursts.
Four very topical West Coast animations focussed on Rain, Hockey, Bike Lanes and Yoga. Working closely with Emily Carr, we narrowed down the talking points of the time to these four hot buttons. This is just one of the four spots we produced in this style.
The Campaign to date is continuing to be a success and has received many significant gifts, including a $7,000,000 gift from Reliance Properties.
We’ll keep you updated with their progress over on our Twitter feed.
