For the opening night of the brand new Sycuan Casino Resort in San Diego, the team at the resort wanted a show-stopping experience that would be celebratory and impossible to ignore. The Go2 team created the content for the 12-story projection mapping spectacle, taking inspiration from the colours and content used by Sycuan in other promotional videos for the hotel.
This project was not without its challenges. For one, all the windows had to be masked out for the content to be visible. We also had to figure out a way to have the logo continuously moving without it being cut off by the windows. In the end, everything went off without a hitch and the Sycuan team was extremely elated by the entire experience. We also loved working with Alliant Events AV for this project.
With the various kinds of media competing for people’s attention today, projection mapping still delivers an enormous wow factor.
